古代行腳商行走販賣將各地特產帶至他鄉,然而因為南北山川阻隔、菏澤難越,加之儲存不便,為杜絕腐壞、便於儲運,便將各地特產曬乾、醃製,製成乾貨,南北乾貨行業也得以延傳至今。時至當代,隨社會的進步,早已沒有交通地理的阻礙,並不代表南北乾貨的衰落,反之更是進入商品更多樣,百花齊放的時代。
